If you haven’t watched this series, you have surely missed out on some trouble trouble
I don’t mean that in a bad way but in a good one
That’s why we have the title “Good Trouble”!
Every single character you will see on this show….right from Mariana to Judge Wilson and beyond that is a thread in the complicatedly interwoven web of life that there is in this community of Los Angeles.
2 young girls, Mariana and her sister Callie that have just left college and their home venture out into the world to try and make something of their own
By moving to LA, they look forward to starting anew their lives….that means things like new jobs, new friends, and different cultures
When they get to LA, though….it’s a whole different story
Everything is so much more different than they had imagined or thought it would be
They come driving their truck full of their boxes and beddings, if you will
And it gets stolen from them hours after parking it on the side of the road
You can imagine the kind of trouble you get in at that moment if you are exactly in their situation or themselves
They look around for a place to stay
And finally, land on one….where it used to be a theatre and now, so many people are co-sharing the space
Putting up in different ends of the building right from the loft to the pool area
So from then on, everything is a struggle….I mean, one trouble after another!
From toilet-paper to who is using the shower first to the WiFi to having a simple unconditional conversation with people in the same space to demanding equality amongst men and women….
One is fighting injustice from wherever they are onwards, another is fighting injustice from the bench onwards, another is fighting the same from their heart, a whole others are fighting it from their offices and job onwards to their superiors, many others are breaking the laws of the country and social justice
So many are fighting to keep away from the troubles of the heart, some are letting them in freely just to see where that leads them, a few others have come up strongly to defend their dignity and identity and that of others, a whole lot of them don’t know what to do with what they are feeling
Gear up….it’s a whole lot of liberation, drama, romance, trouble….good trouble!
