In all my years alive,
Iβve listened to countless adverts on radio and watched so many adverts on tv, as well as read so many others on social media and in hard copy.
There has always been something about advertising that never sat well with me, that I am putting in these questions below, for a start:

- How does the world of making these adverts work?
- Is there a particular qualification one needs to work in this field?
- Am I required to change myself or my ways in this field of advertising?
- Is the effort put into this field, worth all the sacrifices made?
- How ethical is the work done here?

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
I’m sure you’d have to change yourself to make it in advertising. It’s such a cut-throat field.

it’s a difficult field. And you would need to change yourself to be good at it. Yes, the ethics question is always there…

Awe the ethics question is a good one. There are a lot of false advertisers out there, but you recognize this. That makes you a better advertiser right out of the gate!

I hear that there are courses that one can take in this subject. It helps to have a qualification and experience in order to make a living in this field.

I have the same questions a lot of the time as well. I had to learn a bit about marketing when I wrote my books so it was definitely interesting. The ethics seem to be a bit fuzzy sometimes and that just doesn’t sit right with me.

Advertising is a very tough industry and one which is heavy on sales targets for sure. However, if you have the natural flare it would be an ace career Mel Wx

Advertising and the psychology behind it is so interesting. Clearly, a lot of advertising works quite well!

Honestly, I have asked some of these questions too. It’s just amazing how advertising works. Good thing it works well.

I spent 15 years in advertising, which has changed so much that I can’t tell you. I started by acquiring an MBA degree and then got an opportunity to work in an ad agency – McCann Worldgroup.
