Hey, white person
Now is a good time to ask yourself if there is anything to benefit from being brutalized and stolen from by another group of people!

Nicely written. Very thought provoking indeed.

This was a fantastic read. As a white person, I always try to learn whatever I can about the history of the oppression of black people, and not just the era of slavery. Even after that. I’ll never be able to fully feel the effects, but I think it’s important to understand them.

It’s so important for us to really think about what was done to the Africans during the time of slavery and throughout the hundreds of years that followed, even into modern times when racism is still so rampant. Too many people are content to look the other way.

Such a great article to read that is very essential now on what’s going on with the current world we’re living in! It’s definitely an eye-opener for everyone! Hope this will spread on social media! Loved it!

Good read. I always like getting other people’s perspective.
πππΏ
Quite thoughtful post. One thing I will like to share is that racism is nothing but catalyst to destroy humanity. .

Racism is never good. But personaly I feel like “white people” as you put it are being blamed for everything and I think it is a big misreading of history. IF you look at the history it is the Arabs that were the most responsible for propagating slavery. So letΒ΄s not be racist also to White people ok?
π³π³ how can we be racist to people that created racism themselves?
Well, I don’t like when people use white and black. This is an interesting read about this topic.

Definitely thought provoking points. It is all about keeping things in perspective!

This is an interesting article to read. It is always best to learn about history and watch out for your actions.

Ah, this is what I want to use in my lesson today at school. I won’t though because parents would freak out. We can’t teach anything that someone else might perceive as racist, and though I value a good lesson that will stick, I value my job more (that’s what feeds my kiddo and puts a roof over our heads). π

While I will never understand what it feels like to be judged like that, I try my hardest to make sure I am not the one who is making others feel like they are being judged, and trying very hard to make sure my boys learn the same.

I wear reading glasses but have never had trouble mixing up 3 and w. Although there are a lot of other letters that I get mixed up easily.

Article Just spot on

Racism is bad

Man, I love this post so much. I grew up in the Southern United States, and I moved because everyone was so close minded and the racism was rampant. No one ever tried to put themselves in the shoes of black people and what it must feel like to have generations of family be oppressed.

The term ‘Black’ doesn’t always sit well with me. I grew up in the UK. This is the first time a fellow college student has ever referred to me as a black person. It didn’t sit well on me at all.

We always need to be aware of past injustices and learn from past mistakes. There will always be racism, to some degree, just like there will always be sexism. The important thing is to learn, educate, and improve as a society going forward. And yes, looking at things from the perspective of another person or group that is oppressed can completely change your outlook on things.
πππΏ
Very insightful article. Agree, racism has no room in our society.
πππΏ
When I learned about slavery in school as a child, it literally made me sick. It still makes me sick. We are all just human beings and no one should ever be treated that way.

Love this article very well written. Thanks for sharing with us
πππΏ
That certainly is something for us to consider. Racism is still an issue sadly.

Such a powerful post, very well-written article

Sadly, racism still exists in society. Hopefully this bad issue will stop and only spread love love love to humanity
