I don’t know about you
But I, for one, love my TV-time
By that, I mean my movies and television series
Like I can literally go a whole day without food watching Berlin Station for example
Okay…..scratch that, I can’t even fast for a couple hours
But the movies and series can take me forever
Without complaining or whining out
My mommy usually says that they are a waste of time
And I just SMH in total disbelief at her
Gurl, how dare you say such a thing?
Today, I’d love to hear from you about the lessons you’ve learned from movies and series
Personally, I learn to appreciate humanness more in every aspect of itself
For a lot goes into play even when just shooting a simple scene
So, imagine how many of those moments get to make up an entire movie or an entire season of a series
Secondly, I learn to appreciate diversity more potrayed in the movies and series
Respective projects of movies and series are acted out in respective countries or locations
Where there’s the existence of a number of people
And the various ways of life, language, culture, practices that makes up these people and holds them together
It’s quite a scene to watch out for
Thirdly, the devotion everyone on set gets to put behind the mission
To be the success everybody is looking for
Right from the make-up team to the security to the extras
A lot is put in, as far as energy goes to give it their best
I learn to be devoted in every possible way that I can
Most of all, I for one, watch productions that have some sort of personal attachment to me
Things that bring out the voice of pain, anguish, anxiety, love, respect
In me when I hear the title or watch their trailer or see a snippet of it on tele
So, your turn, what do you learn from the moving pictures and change in sound energy?
enjoyed reading your post. I love movies and series too – though don’t get as much time as i would like. Different series have helped me learn so much about different times and cultures. And I love slice of life kind of movies.
Aaaaahhhhh…..that’s so sad. Try making more time for them, though.
Lol during my season of Greys Anatomy my dialog changed. You would’ve thought I was a doctor. And my seasons of documentary really put my self righteous behind in check. You really know nothing till you walk in another’s shoes and documentary’s have a way of forcing you to see more than your own perspective. That’s what I learned
Aaawwwww yyyyeeaahhhhh…
So true, Zaibel.
One of the first movies that I learned from was “The Sting” With Robert Redford and Paul Newman, I was a fan of both actors, and this was a set-up movie and showed me that you can not trust something just because it appears to be a great deal…
Aaahhhh…nnniicceeee! ????
Very nice. My fave TV series to be sherlock Holmes
???? That’s nnniiiccceeee!
Great Article, keep it up
chhers!
??thank you, Dilip
I never really thought about it that way but there really is so much to learn from movies! I learn a lot about history and science myself – I’m very attentive to details in movies.
Yyyeeaaahhhhh….if only many of us paid actual total attention to them!
I enjoy watching sheerly for the entertainment value sometimes and other times what I really appreciate is the writing and acting. My kids act in a youth theatre troupe so for me seeing the acting and staging of various parts of every show makes me appreciate the effort put into the creative process.
????? you’re the best!
I’m not sure I learn anything so much as I relate to what I’m watching. Although, one movie, “About Time”, made me think of how precious the time we have is. That’s a good one.
??? hhhmmmmm, ssseeeee…..you learned something very important right there, Heather!
I don’t get to watch tv or movies as much as I’d like to but I think they can teach you lots of things – understanding, empathy, compassion etc.
?? they surely can!
peter krause is definitely the #1 reason to see 9-1-1 on TV. i still haven’t seen birdbox though. thanks for reminding me.
Joy at The Joyous Living
Aaahhhh…you’re welcome, Joy!
I don’t get too much time to watch TV anymore, but I think it’s a great way to be able to see a surface of different perspectives in a short amount of time. Additionally, places and cultures that you may not necessarily understand. The only thing is, you have to keep an open mind to know that’s just the way it’s portrayed and not always necessarily like that. TV and movies are so cool to watch though.. and cinematography is only getting better!
Hehe….????
I love conspiracy documentaries! There’s something about the way they open up your mind to deeper thinking and hypothetical understanding! It’s fun to sit back and image the “what if”
?? yyyeeaahhhhh!!!
You learn so much for watching these things like compassion and empathy.
?? yyyeeeaahhhh!!
I love real life tv shows and movies! You can learn a lot from them!
?? I usually do!
i love tv and movies. being disabled i watch probably way too much. i find it’s a great way to just escape reality for awhile.
Aaawww….??
it really depends on how you get something from anything. i believe that everything teaches us lessons in life. that includes watching movies. haha
