I have lived my entire life, so far, with one big privilege;
Medical insurance!!!
Moreover, never having to worry about how I am going to access medical care!
It has come a time now, where this privilege is being taken away from me…
It so happens that the person who has ensured that I enjoy this privilege, for all these years
Has had it with Uganda and has now pulled out all their “investments”
Therefore, my love of medical insurance has ended!
I have been so used to carrying my card with me to any clinic affiliated to the prevailing medical insurance provider and I let the system take care of me!
After August, I do not know how it will all work now but I guess we must find a way!

I’m so glad we don’t have to worry about that over here, but it’s getting to that point. The waiting lists have become so high.

Oh no, that’s not good. I hope you do find a way to get medical insurance again. It’s of utmost importance to me and would always negotiate to have it when I transfer to a new job.

Health coverage is such an important issue. We have had good health coverage and also poor health coverage. And we know people without coverage. It is a sad and tough situation.
