As you make yourself so serious and busy,
Play a little bit or too much.
If you had been sad or unhappy a few minutes back,
You will be happier and healthier, I promise!

Anyone who tells you that being playful is childish is wrong.
Ask them why they are arenβt playful anymore and watch them squirmβ¦.

Personally,
I will tickle you even when you are making the most serious speech of your life.
On other days, I will wait for the moment you are chatting with your friends and then, I will brush my hand over your eyes like a blindfoldβ¦.
The whole intention of that play is to make you smile a little and not to upset you!

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
I love this. I’m a firm believer that just because you grow up doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun or doing the things that make you happy.

Bravo! Thank you for the friendly reminder to continue ‘playing’ for a mental health boost. Reminds me of a boss I had years ago – he started each meeting with an uplifting Latin tune. It immediately changed everyone’s outlook and made us smile, laugh and dance a little- resulting in the most productive meetings!

Excellent article. We all need reminders that it’s okay to play a little. Sometimes, we take life too seriously, and we could all use moments of laughter and fun in our daily lives.

Yes, I am very fortunate to be in a family that values playing around at the appropriate times too. I have four children and they all grew up to have wonderful personalities and good sense of humor, even though they’re all so very different from one another in so many other ways. π

I used to be like that, trying to cheer people up even when they were very serious like the tickle thing haha. Growing up doesn’t mean to stop having fun and enjoying life.

I don’t see any reason why adults should not play childish games from time to time. They can be so fun
