In those moments when they speak about you,
Do you bring such a big smile on their faces?
Are you that child who breaks their hearts, just thinking of you?
Even as an older adult I know my parents are proud of me. Yes, they have had issues with a few aspects of my life but that is only due to their concern for me. I’m lucky enough to have parents who actually say “We are proud of you” – not much better than hearing that from two people I respect and love.

Thankfully, my parents still tell me they are proud of me today. Even though I’m a grown adult, hearing this from them is reassuring and warms my heart.

I want to say yes but I think they are still waiting to see the fruits of their labor lol…. They love me I am sure but I guess by my own standards I want to do more to feel worthy of the effort they put in.
