What’s that thing that has been said, world over, about power?
The power belongs to the people….
Yeah….thass it
Word comes from the voters themselves….either in the ticked ballot
Or the printed fingerprint
Or in the queues
To have the next batch of leaders
To check-list them as they go about their business just in case they get to mix their personal business with official business
Sad story, these days, though…from what our fore parents had in mind and vision
I’m 200% sure that they must be tossing and turning in their graves, cursing us who are “in the system”
Watching it crumble down as we do nothing but ride along in the never-ending cycle
The impunity
The normalizing of the abnormal
All the bridges that were built before us have been burned down to the ground
Which means we have a lot of work to do to say that the Government is me….and Government is you?
Under a proper system of governance and not government
Very deep post. It was short, but to the point. I can feel your frustration and disappointment coming through. Thank you.
Yyyeeeeaahhhhhh…its so painful, Mariam.

The situation in Hong Kong is an excellent example of what you’re talking about. Here in America I worry that we’re going to have a Communist country if we elect one of many of the Democratic presidential nominees. 🙁
Joy at The Joyous Living
??? why do you think so, Joy?
There’s no perfect government but all we need to do is support their initiatives. I hope we make the good things!
??? I hope so, too!
The government should be for the people, by the people. We see it not only abused in the United States, but all around the world. Too many people have become power mad.
?? it’s really a shame!
What an interesting perspective on government!
???
Sorry for the painful times you have gone through. Please know you have digital support from all over the world!

Such a simple but a nice post. I can feel the things that you wanted to say and how disappointed you are on the goverment.
??
Government is such a fickle thing anymore. For those in it, it is a game. For us, it is real life and can change things instantly forever.
???? you’ve said it all!
The government makes you feel like you have a say because you can vote, but in reality it is totally out of our hands! Sad isn’t it!
?? so sad!
So agree it is all a global sad story today with governments, elections and PEOPLE power! And YES – especially from what our fore parents had in mind!
Aaahhhhh….it only reminds us of how much work we have to do…and rebellions to be part of!
