Kids in one country receive toy guns as presents.
Some get real ones as presents.

Does the size of the guns matter? I do not know!

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
It all depends on your family structure
π and the communityβs laws governing possession of firearms!
This is powerful stuff. Thank you so much for sharing this. I think so much more thought needs to be put into guns.

This post strikes a very big cord at this period of time. Especially with everything going on with gun violence. Itβs scary to think about. But a topic that must be addressed whether we want to or not. Thanks so much for sharing!

With our world and current gun issues – this is a powerful post. I appreciate your post and thoughtful words on the important topic.

In my opinion, guns shouldn’t be allowed at all for kids. I used to have fun with water guns when I was a child, but now I refuse to let her have a water gun.

It completely depends on people you are surrounded with, but at some point it is your own Choice.

Circumstances growing up can change the entire trajectory of oneβs life. As you said – some get toy guns others get real – but ultimately itβs an individuals choice what path is taken,

I don’t think real guns should be in homes with kids, but toys like nerf guns (that don’t look realistic) are ok. Thanks for making a statement.

I think this all varies on so many levels. My boys know we have a gun in our house (properly registered and in a fingerprint safe) but they also are taught to respect a weapon and what to do when they see one. But we also don’t have toy guns in our house, either, so they don’t think they are all toys.

I think it does matter because if carrying a huge gun, it wouldn’t be fun to use it haha.

The mass shootings are really sad. I hope they do something about it since these senseless killings have to stop. In relation to toy guns, I stopped buying them for kids. I’d rather give them books.

This is true. We only have toy guns in Japan and I think it will stay like this for a long time.

This is such a powerful article. I don’t think I would give my children guns whether toy or real.

A very divisive topic, but fortunately gun crime is not a big problem where I am from.

We live in strange times and scary gun violence. I work in a school and I have kids, and I worry about guns every day.

I donβt let my kids have any type of toy guns anymore. If they get them as gifts I get rid of them.

I think it depends on the culture that these children grow up in. In some societies guns are necessary, in others they are not.

It’s a touchy subject for many. It’s especially poignant in the news right now too. Children and guns are not a great combination.

Deep thinking here. So good that my country bans gun in the public.
