A few minutes ago, I was watching a new television show.
It is about policing and the world of policing.
(I will tell you about it soon)
In that moment, I thought to myself;
“What if crime rested for one day”?

It is a wild thought, I agree.
People that do police work may even say it is very utopic but hey, a boy can still picture a few things here and there.
In the world we live in, there can never be enough police officers or the best methods to police.
We only get to see and receive what is given to us.

What if, the only way to prevent all that above from happening, is to have crime rest for one day? Or even two days, huh?
Would the backlog of cases be cleared out successfully and have justice served?
Would the police officers get a moment to smell the air that they breathe with ease?
Would the children in the communities we live in, play without worrying about an adult do something wrong to them?

I can’t even imagine if crime took a break for one day. When I watch the news, all I see is horror. I’d love for there to be one day where there was nothing to report.

I think even just a day would show the world how much love there still is here. We see a lot of bad, but this would help shine a light on the good. And I would love to let my kids go play with no need to worry about them.

This post really made me stop and think! I don’t know if we can every totally prevent crime, but I feel like world wide access to mental health services, easy access to food for those in need, and more housing services for those who have no place to stay would go a long way towards reducing crime!

The world would be a much better place and people would be happier. No one would have to worry about getting hurt or their loves. It would keep the mind towards something more positive and joyful.

If crime rested for a day, that will be pretty awesome for everyone. It might sound odd, however, we experienced this in the Philippines. We have at least a day of zero crime and only happened during Manny Pacquiao’s boxing fight. Now that he’s retired, I don’t think we can enjoy that one day of no crime.
