My life looks too cheap
Am feeling a little under-priced
Used, perhaps
Being unappreciated for who I really am
All the works of my hands are sold short of what I think of

Could it be something to do with my pricing?
Or the way I package my materials
And finished product, in the very end
Is it how I market myself or my product?
Is it the way you perceive me, on sight
Is it something to do with the weather?
Or is it something, to do with the government (he heβ¦)

Any how, I guess Iβll have to just figure it out on my own.

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
I really feel this one. I have had so many times in my life where I felt like I was being taken advantage of.

This is so powerful. I think we’ve all felt like this at one time or another. The trick is to recognize it and let the world know your worth.

It’s all too easy to be taken advantage of and sell ourselves short. We want so badly to impress and be successful that we can end up allowing ourselves to be used or at least short-changed.

I think we’ve all felt this way sometimes. Especially as an entrepreneur or creative.
π©π©ππ
I actually feel this way very often. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
πππ©π©
many folks sell themselves shot. We have a natural tendency to be unreasonably hard on ourselves even when we are much kinder to others.

I’m going through the same issues right now. Two weeks ago, I’ve been told that I’d have to transfer to another department because the company doesn’t have any use for my current role in marketing. The new role involves sales which I have zero knowledge about. I guess this is the end of my journey in my current company.

I think it’s part of the human condition to tend to sell ourselves short at times. We’re so eager to make our mark that we will give out our services, time, and emotional commitment to those who don’t value it as they should.
π©π©ππ
This is a good thing to think about. We need to value ourselves and our time.

Oh goodness, I think we all struggle with feelings of selling ourselves short sometimes. And how powerful it is to explore those feelings and where they’re coming, so that we can move forward. You’ve done it so beautifully here. As always, love your poetry π

I have been there. Sometimes we can’t really fight such feelings but still, we need to move forward and go on. It’s okay to be not okay for a while but make sure to get up and move on.
ππΏππΏππ
You need to always put your best foot forward. Also, you need to be more confident about your worth!
ππππΏππΏ
This is something we can relate to and have asked ourselves at some point in our lives. At the end of the day, we only have our self and we should value that since it’s important.
ππΏππΏππ
I’ve felt like this too sometimes and we must keep pushing forward and believe in ourselves more.

The pictures suit this piece perfectly. I can see alot of myself in this. I always sell myself short but I don’t know how else to present myself.
