Is your sight fine?
Is it, really?
Is your vision blurry?
Is it, really?
When I ask you to see me, do you see me?
Do you, really?
When you ask me to see you, do I see you?
Do I, really?
Are you seeing me?
Are you, even?
I see you
I really do!
I see you….I love you
I really do!!!

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
Very thought provoking. Do we see others, and do we even see ourselves? It’s something to chew on for sure.
?? I highly agree!
This does bring up an interesting point. Sometimes we think others see us the same way we see them. It’s happened to me in past relationships, even friendships. Just let go of a friend who was treating things one-sided. :/
Aaawwww…same here. In 2017, I ended what I thought was a true friendship because of being one-sided.
This is very deep. I have never thought about this, but I am now fully aware of how I see people and myself.
??
I’ve always heard “the eyes are the window to the soul”. I firmly believe that. This is a great post about perception.
?? aaahhhh…good to hear that, Brianne.
The eyes are the windows of the soul… In order to see someone you have to know their soul.
??
Awesome! Too often we see people but really don’t “see” them. Great post!
??? thank you.
Great post, just because your eyes are open, it doesn’t mean you are seeing!
Yyyaaayyyyy! Thank you, Carrie.
“seeing” doesn’t always mean vision, so it was fun to read your poem with different meanings of “seeing.”
?? I’m glad to hear that.
I love reading your unique posts. They really make me stop and think deep. I SEE YOU! I really do!
?? I see you tooooooo, Myrah! ❤️
So very thought provoking. Do we see others the same way as we perceive they are seeing us? Or do we have a deeper insight into the person irrespective of theirs???
???? I’m glad you picked something.
That’s really something to consider! So many times we think we “see” at some point, but with time realize that we actually don’t!
?? I’m glad to hear that, Anna!
did you draw those eyes? interesting how the second sketch looks like head is flipped upside down but eyes are right side up.

?? no, I didn’t. I imagined they would have an effect such as this.
This was a cute but sweet poem. It’s beautiful when you are truly “seen”!
?? thank you.
sometimes we see what we want to. i put on makeup, fancy clothes and a smile but i’m crying on the inside. we also let people see what we want.
??? i kkknnnoooowwww! ?
Wow! What a great piece! It’s an eye opener for me.
?? I’m glad to hear that.
This depends on the interpretation of each reader. For me when I read this post, the part where it says “When I ask you to see me, do you see me?” I felt something there. It makes me think that only certain people can see you, the REAL “you”.
Aaaahhh yes! That specific part is dedicated to parents, guardians and care-givers.
