Hey you,

It’s been a long time since we last chatted, right?

How was this week for you – 4 years ago?

If I recall well,

This was the week our world turned upside down!

We were all commanded into a massive lockdown, and everything changed from there on.

Our lockdown here was very special and unique; it oscillated anywhere from 14 days to 21 days!

Our schools re-opened up again after a year and a half; no other country ever did that!

It all started as an ordinary week, for me.

Then, the radios and televisions began talking of that very dangerous virus called “COVID-19”.

We were told to mask up, wash our hands very seriously, like never before and most of all, I didn’t get my ugali and beans as promised to me, by the government!

Mehn, that was a crazy time, looking back at it now!

In my entire life, I had never seen places of worship closed off indefinitely, for example.

Never had I seen people dying that way, from such a little person called a virus!

Never had I seen capitalism turn it’s gears and wheels harder and faster than before!

How did we even make it?

Are we even here, fully?

Do we live with long COVID now?

Are we much better than we ever were?

So much has changed; so many of our loved ones and acquaintances left us.

We are certainly not doing things the way we used to!

Is this for the better? I am not sure!
