Traffic
You are so special
In your own way

Traffic
You are so special
To so many people
Traffic
You are so special
In that every one has an opinion of you
Traffic
I think you are that boogie man I have read about
That wears us out, as we wait to have our turn to travel through
Traffic
Other times, I think you are that number of things going on in a particular way of communicationβ¦say on the Internet
In a given time

Traffic
Many times, we think of you in terms of buying and selling
Goods and services
Traffic
Many other times, I see you for the way you are done
That is not acceptable in the hands of the law
Traffic
Sometimes, you are as easy as pouring water from the jug to a cup!
You are a very simple noun
Even quite simpler, as a verb
In my opinion
The way I see it,
You canβt exist without our behaviour as human beings
What we do now determines what may become of us in the future

Traffic
If we do things right, now
Then, the amount of time we may make use of, just might be less for everyone
Traffic
How about you send us a warning shout-out, every once in a while
Just so we know we are doing things right, huh?
Otherwise,
The night is still very young
And there is a lot we can get done, in the shortest time possible
Now that so many of us are actually resting!

A very poignant tale of traffic and your observations. I agree that traffic cannot exist without our behaviour and our actions will shape the future.

Wow you are an amazing poet! Itβs amazing how something like traffic has such a huge impact of peopleβs lives and health. Thanks for sharing your words!
ππππΏππΏ youβre welcome.
I love it — a deep poem about traffic. Something that we all just accept as a hated part of life. You are very talented — Wow!
ππππΏππΏ thank you!
Love your take on traffic. For many years I was in the midst but I chose to just listen to my favorite music and not get the traffic get under my nerves. After a few months I started relishing the alone time.

I never realized how many different meanings that one word can have. It’s fascinating!
ππΏππΏππ itβs good that now you do!
I like how you have composed this post with different photos.Like the first picture much!
ππππΏππΏ thank you!
I like the fact that you create poems about things that are far from classical poetry. Traffic… This poem sounds a bit ironic, funny, but at the same time beautiful.
ππΏππΏππ thank you. Youβre so sweet!
That’s an amazing and wonderfully written poem. Very thought-provoking and makes you think of many things reading it.
ππΏππΏππ Iβm glad to hear that!
