Wait, thereβs knowing what we NEED from what we WANTβ¦ naye, how do we define these two words?

Do we define these two words from our own perspective or do we follow societyβs guidelines to do so?
Because its from defining these key words that we can distinctly draw out one from the other and plan our lives accordingly
Do we ever NEED something to take us through the short-run of our days?
Do we ever WANT something to take us though the short-run of our days?

Do we ever NEED something to take us through the long-run of our days?
Do we ever WANT something to take us through the long-run of our days?
How do we ever get to WANT something?
How do we ever get to NEED something?

And then, whatβs the use of a NEED?
Whatβs the use of a WANT?
Remember, youβre a MASTER of your decisions but a SLAVE of your choices.
What a solid reflection that lead me to asking myself too.
Aaahhhhh….Iβm glad you made it, Dani. Very important you do so. ??β€οΈ?
I love the last line youβre a MASTER of your decisions but a SLAVE of your choices.Very nice and inspiring article.
Aaaahhhhh….I’m glad to hear that, Ruchik! Thank you for appreciating.
Wants and needs are certainly quite different! I think this is a great reminder.

This is such a great reminder. I’ve actually done a few lessons on the differences between our needs and our wants with the elementary school kids. It’s important to know the difference for sure!

Love this article thanks for sharing it with us. Really like it.
ππ thank you.
Ahh the great debate between needs and wants. It is interesting to see people who say they “need” a cell phone, and have something like a very expensive iPhone 12, but then can’t even afford food. The food should be the need and the phone should be the want. Of course this topic is entirely subjective, and can change from person to person.

Yes, I think most of us know the difference between the two. However, the temptations around us are so hard to resist sometimes.
ππππ okay!
A very valid and candid post. You’ve really made me stop and think about my own life.
ππ Iβm glad to hear that!
Master of choices. Slave of decisions. And hindsight IS 20/20. Best to think carefully and not decide until seeing clearly.

This is a wake-up call for me. Wow! I never see things like this. I sometimes struggle to differentiate between my needs and wants.
ππππΏππΏ
Hey.. This is really a tough one.. I think you can decide on this matter depending on your situation.. Let’s say you want to buy something yet your budget is reslly limited.. In this case, you prioritize the things you need (including basic necessities) than the things you want… But thay doesn’t you can no longer get what you want.. Maybe it’s just all about the level of priorities
ππ maybe!
We need to pay attention to what we need and what we want. It’s tough sometimes to know it.

Most folks likely donβt know the difference. However, it would be good if they did
ππππΏππΏ
Such a valid and good reflection. Sometimes we are not contented of what we want. We have to think that other people don’t have the same privileges as us. Think about it! Introspect!
ππΏππΏππ
No, most people don’t understand the difference between needs and wants. This is a great reminder of what’s important, thank you.
