Have you ever turned down a really juicy offer?

What was the offer about?
Do you regret (not) turning it down?
Did you learn something from that experience?

Always laughing, living, loving and thinking about food. I'm so deeply concerned about health, young people, food and psychology.
Reggae gets me on another level with the way I see life and I enjoy reading.
When I was pregnant with my first baby, my manager (at that time) was sensing that I wasnβt gonna come back to the office after I gave birth. When I gave them my notice they offered things to make the gig more juicy, but I politely declined. And I am so glad I did, because I took my time with my baby and after that I started my first business. Now 6 years later I am working on my 3rd business and make so much more money while working less. Iβm glad I made the decision back then.

I canβt recall turning down a juicy offer. But I can see how anyone else would regret such a decision afterwards. Great post as always! Thanks so much for sharing!

I don’t recall turning down any big offers because I believe in life opportunities come and knock only once in life. If I get the chance I do it.
πππΏ
I did turn down a job offer once. but I do not regret it. In fact its one of the best turns in my life. When you close a door another dorr opens.
πππΏ
I can’t think of any right now, but I’m sure I have. You have to trust your instincts and then you’ll never regret it.
πππΏ
I was offered something that was really hard to get but turned it down. It was because I was saving up for something else and I hoped it wouldn’t burn my bridges but thankfully, it didn’t
πππΏ
I don’t recall turning down a good offer. In any case, it’s great that what I’ve encountered (offers) before are aligned with my values and interests so I always ended up signing with those companies.
πππΏ
I had many times because of many different reasons. I only regret the latest one.
I believe, it’s important to prioritize our values and long-term goals over short-term gains. Turning down a tempting offer may require courage and foresight, but it can ultimately lead to greater fulfillment and success.

I am a business owner so I donΒ΄t know if I can relate. But in a way I lost some good clients due to my inflexibility so maybe that would count. And I deeply regret some of my decisions.
πππΏ
It would be difficult to turn a juicy offer unless it’s impossible to accept. I don’t remember I did it before.
πππΏ
I did receive a very lucrative compensation offer for employment a few years back. The salary and benefit package was very enticing. I did accept the offer, however, I only lasted a year in the company. Turns out it was run by ruthless people who treated their employees like robots.

No, I haven’t. I wish I’d get a really juicy offer for work. My job is great but doesn’t pay great. π

I did last year! I turned down an offer for $40K more than my current salary so I could continue to do what I love. Sometimes I regret it, but thereβs always a new opportunity!
πππΏ
I can’t think of a really juicy offer that I turned down. I have quit jobs before and they begged me to stay.
ππΏπ
Yes, because there are always pros and cons! Things usually aren’t as simple or straightforward as they seem. You have to weigh your options even with good offers.
πππΏ
I don’t recall turning down a juicy offer. I live life a bit serendipitously so I may have turned one down but not realized it. I know there are offers in life I wish I had turned down, but maybe not because I am happy where I am so maybe the ‘not so good offers’ are part of who I am. Does this make sense?!
πππΏ
I canβt recall if I have turned down a juicy offer before. I was lucky enough to get many great jobs with lots of life experiences.
πππΏ
I’m actually turning one down tomorrow! I’ve decided that it’s not what I want to focus on and am more than happy for someone else to take over that really wants to.
πππΏππΏ
I didn’t get in that situation to share my experience, lol. Everytime I find a job I get it right away as my plan. Not sure if you call it a juicy offer.

I can’t think of a time that I have turned down a great offer. Kind of makes me wonder if I tend to jump on anything that comes my way. Might have to be a bit more selective.
ππ
I don’t think I have ever received a juicy offer before. I don’t think I will be able to handle the aftermath of turning down the offer. It would really break me down.

I hope I did not. I canβt recall turning down a juicy offer. Would be pissed now π

I turned down an offer to be relocated to one of our branches abroad since I didn’t want to be away from my family and there was no option to bring them with me.
ππ½π
I think everyone has that one offer in life they wish they didn’t turn down.
πππΏ
I have not and don’t think I can turn down one.
I focus on exploring any opportunity so long as it aligns with my aspirations
